British Airways passengers have suffered another hours-long ‘flight to nowhere’ caused by an in-flight technical issue.
Flight BA31 was en route to Hong Kong before turning around and heading back to London Heathrow.
The flight was overflying Turkmenistan when the Boeing 777 aircraft made the about-turn.
It was in the air for 11 hours.
The airline says it was for a ‘minor technical issue.’
“The flight returned to London Heathrow as a precaution due to a minor technical issue,” the airline said.
“It landed safely and customers disembarked as normal. We’ve apologised for the disruption to their journey.”
A recent BA service took a 8,000km flight to nowhere over the Atlantic.
The Houston bound Dreamliner flight turned around near the US-Canada border after a technical fault.
