Broadband users spend 23 hours a week online
UK broadband users spend around 23 hours a week online – adding up to almost 51 days a year.
A YouGov poll of more than 15,000 users found that general surfing of the internet was the most popular use for the high-speed internet connection.
Online games took up four hours and 40 minutes a week, followed by three hours and 26 minutes on email. Watching video took an average of two hours and 23 minutes while internet shopping took up to one hour and 53 minutes.
The survey for price comparison service uSwitch found that broadband users spend an average of 23 hours and 34 minutes a week online.
Music and film downloading or listening to the radio via broadband was not calculated as these can be done at the same tme as other internet activities, Yahoo! News reported.
