Business Travel Week plans unveiled
The UK is to have a Business Travel Week next year in an initiative supported by the Institute of Travel Management.
Media company Centaur is behind the concept, which will incorporate the the 15th annual Business Travel Show.
The week is to run between February 9-13, including the show on February 10-12.
Other events planned include a three-day conference for travel buyers and a two day conference for agents.
The Travel Technology Show on February 10 and 11 will also come under the Business Travel Week umbrella, as will three awards ceremonies and four networking events.
The week has been designed to “unite the European business travel industry” and heighten the sector’s profile throughout the rest of the industry.
The move comes in the face of a new rival business travel exhbition to be held in London in 2009.
The Business Travel Market will make it debut on June 17-18 next year at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London.
