The Rancho Valencia in San Diego is due to open on September 7 after a six-month $20m renovation.
The resort sits in 40-acres and is renowned for its natural charm and classic California character.
It also has a full-service spa and boutique with couples’ suite, sauna and steam room, four pools, tennis courts with instruction and year-round tennis programmes, and access to the nearby Farms Golf Club, a private championship golf course.
Prices start from $700 (£440) per night.
