Canadian border opening for vaccinated Americans
Fully vaccinated Americans will be able to once again travel to Canada from August 9. The Canadian government is opening its borders to Americans first, and will allow all other vaccinated travelers from September 7.
Canada and the US closed their borders initially in March 2020 and extended the closure multiple times for all nonessential travel.
All travelers are still required to take a pre-arrival Covid test but will no longer have to quarantine upon arrival.
