Carnival features dynamically packaged cruises
Dynamic packaging of cruises is a feature of Carnival’s 2008-09 programme covering 21 ships and 59 itineraries.
The Cruise Holiday brochure also offers early booking offers of £100 off on fly-cruises and £50 off cruise-only arrangements for booking made by the end of October.
Agents are being encouraged to make early sales with a prize draw to win £600 in shopping vouchers.
All fly/cruise holidays include flights from London, hotels in the embarkation city and itineraries ranging from three to 12 nights.
Sailings from Dover by new ship Carnival Splendor, which is launched in July 2008, have already been on sale for several months but space on the Baltic itineraries is still available, according to the company.
The 3,000-passenger ship features a 17,800-square-foot spa – the largest ever incorporated into a Carnival ship, including a new thalasso-therapy pool and a winter garden with a ceremonial tea house.
A 5,500-square-foot children’s playroom will include an innovative water play area, while a new sports deck will have arena-style seating for games and other events while the main pool will have a retractable glass dome.
Agents who have signed up with Carnival on Amadeus Cruise are able to dynamically package cruises to create their own holidays including local air departures, according to Uk and Ireland sales and marketing director Lynn Narraway.
“Having an ex-UK ship in Summer 2008 means that now Carnival’s range of cruise destinations and durations can appeal to a much wider audience,” she said.
“We now offer nearly 60 different 3-12-night itineraries in the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii – and now the Mediterranean and Northern Europe too, and this brochure offers travel agents a very comprehensive, easy to read tool to sell the Carnival product, along with Amadeus Cruise and our improved UK website www.carnival.co.uk.”
