Jane Scaletta will step down as executive director of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) at the end of this month.
Scaletta has held the position for two-and-a-half years and is leaving the nonprofit CITA to join Orlando destination management company AlliedPRA as general manager.
"It is an honor to be considered as general manager to a company that is clearly growing in the Orlando area and gives me the opportunity to be with my family, who are all located near Orlando," Scaletta said.
I’ve been representing tourism in the Cayman Islands for the past two-and-a-half years at CITA and truly believe we are the best island in the Caribbean."
"On behalf of the CITA board, we certainly wish Jane all the best, she has helped to shape the tourism industry in the Cayman Islands," said CITA president Kenneth Hydes.
Formed in 2001, CITA represents over 250 private tourism businesses in the Cayman Islands, funded by membership subscriptions and fundraising activities.
