Costa cancels Caribbean and World cruises

Monday, 28 Oct, 2020 0

Costa has cancelled its Caribbean cruises onboard Costa Favolosa, which will return to the Mediterranean to operate mini cruises from 2 April next year.

The 2021 World Tour on Costa Deliziosa is also cancelled. Guests are being given the option to re-book for 2022.

The cruise line’s other ships will continue to operate a reduced scheduled until next year due to the ongoing travel restrictions in some countries and the current epidemiological situation.

Costa Smeralda (above) will sail only in Italy until the end of February, visiting Savona, La Spezia, Cagliari, Messina, Naples and Civitavecchia/Rome.

This one-week itinerary will replace its cruise to Italy, France and Spain from 14 November.

Costa Deliziosa will continue operating her current one-week itinerary in Italy and Greece until 3 January, calling at Trieste, Katakolon/Olympia, Athens, Heraklion/Crete and Bari, instead of visiting Montenegro and Croatia as originally planned.

Costa Diadema will postpone the start of her long cruises in the Mediterranean to 6 April, offering 14-day cruises to Turkey and 14-day cruises to Egypt and Greece, as scheduled.

The new ship Costa Firenze, which is currently in the final stages of completion at the Fincantieri shipyard, will be delivered as planned in mid-December 2020, but the launch of its seven-day cruises to Italy, France and Spain has been postponed until 28 February.

Costa said it is informing all guests and travel agents impacted by changes to the winter programme.
