The Costa Deliziosa will be the first Costa liner for 15 years to offer “round-the-world†cruises. On December 28, 2011, the Costa Deliziosa will depart from Savona on a 100-day world voyage in the wake of famous navigators.
Meanwhile, the Costa Favolosa will leave from Venice on her maiden cruise on July 7, 2011 on a 10-day voyage to Israel, Greece and Turkey.
Stopovers include Bari, Corfu (Greece), Haifa (Israel), Izmir (Turkey) and Dubrovnik (Croatia). The Costa Favolosa will be operating on seven-day cruises from Venice and Bari to Turkey, Greece and Croatia throughout the summer season in 2011.
Innovations on board Costa Favolosa include six new veranda suites with their own Jacuzzis; a new entertainment area called Club Cavallo Bianco, with a 4D Cinema, PlayStation World, a bar with ice-cream, kids’ dance floor, children’s game room, and a new Aqua Park water playground.
In an itinerary tailored specifically for Australian cruisers, between December 2010 and April 2011 the Costa Classica will be offering a 14-day itinerary, which can be broken down into two seven-day segments, sailing from Singapore to Thailand and Malaysia.
The Costa Classica and the Costa Romantica will offer 14 to 16 day itineraries to Thailand, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Japan and Taiwan, as well as mini-cruises with departures from China.
There will be 69 short cruises in the Far East in 2011, with new ports such as Fukuoka, Osaka and Keelung being added to the traditional ports of Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Tianjin and Pusan.
For the first time, Costa Cruises will offer seven night cruises in 2011 during its Winter Mediterranean season.
Valencia has been added to the seven-day itinerary in the Mediterranean on the Costa Magica, with the opportunity to visit Madrid thanks to the high speed train linking the two Spanish cities.
