Cruise line targets families
Cruise West says it is making family trips more affordable.
The line’s policy is that children ages 18 and under will now pay 50 percent of the adult rate and kids ages two or younger will travel for free on all voyages.
“Our goal in introducing the new kid’s rates is to attract families with inquisitive kids who yearn for the rich educational and enrichment focus of Cruise West’s itineraries,” said Dietmar Wertanzl, president & CEO.
Although video games may conjure up visions of knights and warriors in far off lands, Cruise West actually takes guests to see the real thing including medieval castles, gold temples, lush jungles and other authentic sites.
Cruise West has a multitude of cruise adventures to all seven continents. There are 38 itineraries, ranging from nature-focused voyages in Alaska to historical and cultural itineraries in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
The cruise line’s fares are almost all-inclusive, including everything except alcohol and some optional excursions.
Ships are small with capacities ranging from 78 to 148 passengers. Four night/five day cruises start from $1,199 per person.
