Cunard unveils makeover plans for Queen Elizabeth

Friday, 05 Dec, 2024 0

Cunard’s 2,000-guest Queen Elizabeth is set for a major refit ahead of its inaugural Caribbean programme and debut Alaska season in 2025.

The ship will undergo a significant refurbishment from 25 February to 13 March 2025, in Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore.

The ship then offers an Alaska season from Seattle in June and a debut voyage from Miami to the Caribbean on 16 October.

The Caribbean season will begin with a 12-night roundtrip sailing from Miami.

For the first time in Cunard’s history, a ship will spend the full season in Miami.

Queen Elizabeth will offer a dedicated programme of roundtrip Caribbean voyages with itineraries ranging from 9 to 28 nights.

Port calls include Montego Bay in Jamaica, San Juan, Puerto Rico and St John’s in Antigua

Queen Elizabeth’s refurbishment will feature new interiors and exteriors.

Signature spaces such as the Commodore Club, Queens Room, Panorama Pool Club, Garden Lounge and The Pavilion will be transformed.

As part of the ship transformation, the Grills experience will be enhanced with new furnishings

The Grills dining experience will also be upgraded with a special three course Gala Evening menu created by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux.

Another standout feature of the refurbishment is the introduction of The Pavilion Wellness Café, which debuted earlier this year on Cunard’s newest ship, Queen Anne.

This wellness-focused venue will serve breakfast, lunch and daytime dining featuring plant based cuisine along with sustainably sourced meet, fish and dairy.

Guests can also enjoy the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea programme, first seen on Queen Anne.

This programme offers three-day packages tailored to relaxation, energy restoration or recovery.
