Delta launching nonstop London-Orlando service this winter
Delta Air Lines is adding Florida to its UK network this winter.
The carrier will operate four weekly Orlando flights London Heathrow, effective 28 October 2024.
Orlando will become Delta’s eighth destination served nonstop from London for the winter season and the only one to the Sunshine State.
The new route is part of Delta’s long standing Virgin Atlantic collaboration and aimed at the large UK travel market to Central Florida.
“In partnership with Virgin Atlantic, our new route seamlessly connects two diverse destinations,” said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s SVP Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India.
Orlando is a sought-after getaway spot for UK holiday makers with an abundance of theme parks.”
Delta’s Orlando flights will operate until 30 March 2025 on A330-900neo jets, offering 281 seats.
The new service will feature all four products – Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
Delta’s flights to and from the UK are operated in conjunction with joint venture partners Virgin Atlantic, Air France and KLM.
Together, Delta and Virgin Atlantic will operate up to 187 weekly flights from London Heathrow to 14 destinations in the US this winter, including Miami, Tampa and Orlando in Florida.
They also fly to Delta’s hubs in Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York-JFK, Seattle and Salt Lake City.
