Delta SkyMiles members can now use their miles instead of cash to book seat upgrades via the Fly Delta app.
It follows the initial rollout of the miles payment option for upgrades on the Delta.com website in December which has been well received by customers, Delta says.
Since then more than 60,000 members have purchased upgrades using miles.
"Expanding the flexibility to use miles for upgrade purchases to the app experience is yet another way Delta is giving customers more options," said Rhonda Crawford, VO of global distribution & digital strategy.
SkyMiles can be used to upgrade a single leg or multiple legs of a journey.
It is valid for upgrades to Delta Comfort+, First Class, Delta Premium Select, or Delta One on Delta operated flight segments.
