EasyJet has halted Israel flights once again.

After escalating Israel-Iran tensions, easyJet says it will postpone all Tel Aviv flights until at least the end of this week.

Meanwhile, Wizz Air hopes to resume its Israel flights today after cancelling services on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Wizz Air says if flights resume there will likely be some schedule changes.

“Due to the evolving situation in Israel, easyJet has taken the decision to temporarily pause operations to until 21 April. The safety and security of our passengers and crew is always the highest priority,” easyJet said.

Airlines including Air Canada, Delta, Iberia and Lufthansa also suspended Israel flights until further notice.

The situation across the region was far reaching with flights cancelled beyond Israel and causing hiccups for carriers operating Asia-Europe long haul routes

Qantas is rerouting flights between Australia and Europe to avoid flying over the Persian Gulf and Iraq.

It also added a refueling stop in Singapore for the Perth-London leg.

Emirates and Etihad Airways announced changes to their flight paths, with both airlines rerouting flights to avoid airspace over certain conflict zones in the Middle East.

British Airways temporarily suspended flights to and from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to security concerns.
