Emirates launches services to Hamburg
In the lead up to the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Emirates has announced that it will be expanding its presence in Germany with the introduction of a daily service to Hamburg from the 1 March 2006 as well as an additional daily service to Dusseldorf from 1 May 2006.
Hamburg will be Emirates’ fourth gateway in Germany, with the airline currently flying twice daily to Munich and Frankfurt, and a soon to be twice daily service to Düsseldorf.
To celebrate the new service, Emirates – Official Partner of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, is offering Australians traveling to Hamburg complimentary accommodation and car rental. The offer, valid from 1 March to 31 May, provides travellers flying First Class to Hamburg with three nights’ complimentary accommodation at the Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten plus one day free rental of a BMW 7 Series car, or one week’s car rental in Hamburg.
Emirates Business Class travellers can enjoy two nights’ accommodation at the Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten or five days car rental, while Emirates Economy Class travellers can avail of one complimentary nights stay or three days’ car rental in Hamburg. The car rental option includes an Audi A4 (or similar) with unlimited mileage.
According to Eddie Lim, Emirates Area Manager, Australia the introduction of the new service further strengthens the airline’s presence in the region, particularly in the lead up to the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
“Hamburg is gearing up to receive thousands of visitors during the tournament and our new services will no doubt be welcomed by soccer fans around the world seeking convenient travel connections. Emirates is the only airline that is able to boast four direct services to Germany from Australia,” said Mr Lim.
