With the US once again open for international travellers, Fred. Holidays is offering two brand new trips -: a 3000-mile coast-to-coast rail journey from San Francisco to New York and a complete Mississippi cruise from Louisiana to Minnesota.

The comprehensive 15-day coast-to-coast rail journey onboard Amtrak rolls from the West Coast to the East Coast via five major American cities – San Francisco, Los Angeles, Flagstaff, Chicago and New York.

It also includes visits to Alcatraz and the Grand Canyon. Prices from £3,429 per person based on two adults sharing a room. It includes return economy flights from London, 10 nights’ room only hotel accommodation, day rail from San Francisco to Los Angeles, three nights’ sleeper class accommodation onboard Amtrak with meals and selected drinks.

The price includes a half-day tour of San Francisco including ferry and entrance to Alcatraz and excursion to the Grand Canyon..

The 22-day Mississippi river cruise with American Cruise Lines travels the length of the mighty river from Louisiana to Minnesota and features 22 ports of call in ten US states.

Expert guides take gueests to the grand southern plantations, stately antebellum houses, and Civil War battlefields of the Lower Mississippi.

Taste the Cajun and Creole and enjoy Memphis BBQ in the birthplace of Jazz, Blues, and Rock-n-Roll.

There are four departures on 10th June, 20th July and 10th September 2022 and 9th June 2023 with prices from £8,106 per person for the 22-day cruise with all meals, shore excursions and gratuities.
