Canadian low-cost airline Flair had four of its leased aircraft seized in what the airline called a ‘commercial dispute.’
It has disrupted its flight schedules with a small number of flight cancellations.
However, Flair says it doesn’t expect any ongoing disruptions to its flight operations.
Flair said the leased aircraft seizures by a New York-based hedge fund are ‘extreme and unusual.’
The jets were seized in Toronto, Edmonton and Waterloo, Ontario.
Flair says it has additional fleet capacity and can re-accommodate customers on other airlines to lessen any disruption.
