France rolls out new Covid restrictions
Posting record numbers of Covid-19 infections, France tightened its restrictions. Effective from 3 January, people must work from home for three days a week and masks must be worn outdoors in urban areas.
Nearly 90% of the eligible population is fully vaccinated in France. Other EU nations have tightened curbs to minimise infections over the holidays such as Germany closing nightclubs and large-scale events with football matches only allowed without fans.
