Fred. Holidays celebrates return of Eastern & Oriental Express
To celebrate the return of the Eastern & Oriental Express, Fred. Holidays has launched two new Malaysia and Mekong cruise itineraries.
They combine the Wild Malaysia rail journey with land stays and a Mekong cruise.
The three-night Wild Malaysia rail journey on the Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, departs Singapore through the Malaysia rain forests.
During the journey, there are a number of excursion options including a wildlife discovery in Taman Negara National Park and a Peranakan cookery class in Penang.
Guests enjoy champagne and signature cocktails in the train’s Bar Car, South East Asian cuisine in the elegant dining carriages and cosy sleeping quarters.
The Pandaw Authentic Mekong & Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train itineraries includes a Pandaw Classic Mekong cruise between Saigon and Siem Reap.
It explores the delta of Vietnam and the Cambodia countryside as well as the Angkor temple complex.
Also included is a two-night stay in Singapore with city tour and a two-night stay in Saigon with a guided tour of the Cu Chi tunnels.
There are three nights in Siem Reap with guided sightseeing of Angkor Wata and a cruise on Tonle Sap Lake on the 19-night itinerary.
The eight-night Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train itinerary combines the three-night Wild Malaysia rail journey with a pre-and post-train stay in a five-star hotel in Singapore.
A half day Singapore city tour is also included.
