There is a new chief at Indonesian flag carrier Garuda.
State-owned enterprises minister Rini Soemarno said Pahala Nugraha Mansury has been appointed as the new president director, replacing Arif Wibowo.
Minister Rini says Mansury will be given a target of one year to restructure the airline and its subsidiaries.
"They need a thorough restructuring in operation and finances," Rini said.
"After interviewing several candidates, we believe that Pahala is the best," she added.
Mansury takes over at Garuda from Bank Mandiri, one Indonesia’s largest banking groups.
Garuda had improved its overall financial health in recent years but saw profits plummet from US$76.5 million in 2015 to US$8.1 million last year.
