Get your story told
It’s not just about facts to sell sustainable tourism you need emotions too
Sometimes we spend a lot of time knocking on the wrong door, don’t we? In this year’s Sustainable Tourism marketing Guide it became clear that those who used stories in their selling were right at the top of the success league.
And those that didn’t were right at the bottom – having to rely on that poisonous formula of price – stacking the pile of goodies (all inclusive everything etc) high and knocking the price down to the ground. Who was going to pay? Who cares, someone will – just get the bookings in!
But those that enchanted clients with their stories, before, during and after their travel – the storytellers are not only winning the initial clients – but making much more out of their relationship with them too.
Storytelling winners abound from Banyantree to Cape Town Tourism.
They know also that it’s not just what you say, but how and where you say it too. We know – every week we produce enchanting (we think) enlightening (we know) stories that put a new perspective on things.
