Green list Bulgaria bans UK travellers
Just before its coveted green list status becomes effective, Bulgaria has slammed the door shut on UK holidaymakers. It doesn’t want Brits holidaying in the country due to growing numbers of Covid cases.
The ban comes into force today, the same day it moves to the green list. The UK is now deemed a ‘red zone’ country along with Cyprus, Spain, Fiji and Kuwait, said health minister Stoycho Katsarov.
It comes as the UK reported more than 50,000 new Covid-19 cases, the most since early-2021.
