HAL extends summer 2007 cruise season
Holland America Line is to offer an extended European cruise season next summer.
The line will run sailings in Europe for nine months of the year in 2007. HAL is to deploy five ships, embarking on a third more sailings than this year, covering 46 itineraries.
Itineraries run between March 12 and November 3, 2007 with 82 departures ranging from between 10 and 56 days.
The line is introducing 13 new ports of call out of a total of 136 in the region.
HAL’s European deployment next year will see 1,258-passenger Veendam in the region for the first time alongside 1,848-passenger Westerdam, 1,316-passenger Rotterdam, Maasdam and 793-passenger Prinsendam.
New ports of call inlcude Jupivogur in Iceland, Sochi in Russia and Koper in Slovenia. The Lofoten Islands off Norway, Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye and Albania are among the more unusual destinations featured.
