Herd being heard
A new site, Aircomplane.com, a web log for disgruntled airline passengers, allows travelers to voice complaints and concerns, and share tips and advice.
Site administrators will monitor the postings to keep the dialogue civil. Comments are divided into categories like “In the air” and “Humdingers!”
Security criticisms, however, are not allowed. “We live in a complicated time,” the company says,” and certain procedures — even if occasionally imperfect or inconvenient — deserve our cooperation and support.”
“We, in a sense, are you. More than just tired airline travelers, we are tired of the current nature of the airline travel experience. We simply want to be treated with respect, spoken to as adults, have fares, delays, and policies explained to us in clear, concise, adult English (or our national language), and travel efficiently, economically, and safely,” it adds.
The site’s stated goal is to provide a (largely) positive forum and collective voice to let the airlines, and abused travelers know when they are justifiably not happy.
“So, welcome. Go at it. Yell, scream, keep profanities to a minimum, and be anonymous if you want. Bitch away! You’ve earned it!”
