Holiday Autos exits trade sales

Holiday Autos is to close its trade arm after parent company Travelocity Global sold the brand to Dublin-based car rental solutios provider CarTrawler.

The sale did not include Holiday Autos trade business and at the time of the announcement Travelocity Global said it was contemplating various options for its future.

However, it announced today that it had decided to withdraw from the trade sector worldwide.

It will continue to take bookings in the UK until August 31 for departures until October 31.

The same goes for bookings in the Nordics, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

It will continue to take bookings in Germany and Austria until September 30. Bookings in Australia and Middle East have stopped.

Holiday Autos said it was currently in the process of informing all partners and suppliers about this decision and is reviewing steps to be taken for bookings which depart after these dates.

Any customers that may wish to cancel a booking departing after October 31st, as a result of these changes will not be charged a cancellation fees and will receive a full refund of car rental costs, it said.
