Hong Kong bans flights from Indonesia

Hong Kong has announced a ban on all flights from Indonesia following a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases in the archipelago in recent days. The blanket flight ban tales effect on 25 June and includes transit passengers..

The Hong Kong government now classifies Indonesia as extremely high risk. It comes days after four Garuda Indonesia passengers tested positive for Covid after arriving in Hong Kong earlier this week. Hong Kong hasn’t specified how long the flight suspension will last for.
