Indianapolis now a five-star city

Friday, 22 Mar, 2006 0

It finally happened in Indianapolis: The city got its first five-star hotel.

The city has some four-star hotels but the Conrad Hotel is its five five-star, a property long sought by local officials.

What’s the difference between four and five stars? According to AAA, five star properties:

  • Have marked upgrades in the quality of all amenities and comfort levels.

  • Offer many personalized services such as helping with luggage, whether a guest wants it or not, and escorting guests to restrooms instead of a pointed finger.

  • Reservations are accepted 24 hours a day and guests are always greeted by name.

  • Wake-up calls are personal and done by a live person.

  • Room service is available 24 hours a day, as is overnight valet, laundry and butler service.
