Golf Wonderful Indonesia, a cooperative of premium courses, hotels and lifestyle outlets, is offering amateur golfers the chance to play where the pros play in Indonesia.
Packages are available via the web portal, www.golfwonderfulindonesia.com, which also serves as a clearinghouse of information centered on golf and tourism activities in country.
In 2013, Golf Wonderful partner Royale Jakarta GC will host its third consecutive CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters from May 2-5. Ernie Els and john Daly have signed to play the event.
Other Golf Wonderful courses include Cenkareng Golf Club in Jakarta, which hosted the Indonesian Open in both 2005 and 2008, and the Emeralda Golf Club, another Jakarta venue, and host to several Indonesian Opens, in addition to the Johnnie Walker Super Tour, Dunhill Asian Masters and the Volvo Masters Asia.
The cliff top Kuta Golf course in Bali – a new Golf Wonderful Indonesia member for 2013 – hosted the 2009 Indonesian Open, a joint stop on the European PGA and Asian tours.
