Japanese prefecture unveils ninja robot virtual tours
Japan’s Kochi Prefecture is tapping a cute ‘Ninja robot’ to showcase the region’s nature and tourist attractions. Its latest tourist campaign includes virtual live tours by means of ‘body sharing.’
It involves ‘NIN_NIN’ a small ninja robot that sits on a person’s shoulder recording footage as they go on a real-time walking tour. This person is dubbed the ‘ninjineer.’
The first tour takes place on 12 May and will be streamed on Instagarm Live.
