‘Jason Bourne’ boosts United’s new Olympic spot

Tuesday, 30 Jul, 2012 0

United Airlines has just debuted two new commercials celebrating United’s sponsorship of Team USA in the 2012 Olympics Games.

The 30-second spot, ‘Getting Ready,"  features dramatic match cuts of flight crew preparations paired with Olympians getting ready to compete.  ‘Tunnel’ is a 60-second spot highlighting United’s role in flying Team USA to London.

Both are narrated by none other than ‘Jason Bourne,’ Matt Damon.  The stirring soundtrack may sound familiar.  It is United’s theme song, ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ by George Gershwin.

Both commercials will air continuously throughout NBC coverage of the games.

The campaign includes print and outdoor ads and social media promotion.
