JetBlue has deepened its partnership with Hawaiian Airlines with the expansion of a codeshare agreement.
‘JetBlue has agreed to place its ‘B6’ code on Hawaiian’s nonstop flights between New York JFK and Honolulu and for some flights to Honolulu via Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas, and onward via Hawaiian’s neighbor island network to Maul, Kona and Lihue.
In addition Hawaiian’s ‘HA’ code will be added to more destinations in the JetBlue flight network.
"JetBlue and Hawaiian have been consistently strengthening our relationship since we first partnered nearly four years ago so that we can offer the best travel benefits to our customers," said Scott Laurence, senior vice president airline planning at JetBlue.
"This latest step makes it easier than ever to book seamless travel, connect across our diverse networks of destinations and earn loyalty points anywhere our airlines fly."
Codeshare itineraries are processed on a single ticket and offer a one-time check-in and baggage transfer for the complete journey.
"We are pleased to expand our partnership with JetBlue to create more choices for travelers coming to the Hawaiian Islands or those seeking easy connections to destinations beyond our key gateways on the Mainland," said Peter Ingram, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Hawaiian Airlines.
Loyalty members of the respective airlines can earn and redeem points on both carriers.
Hawaiian serves 11 US mainland airports from Hawaii, including JetBlue’s home base at New York JFK.
