Resort and lifestyle brand Karma Group has officially opened its latest resort in India.
Karma Sitabani occupies a unique location in Uttarakhand, Northern India within the Jim Corbett National Park.
This is part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve named after the famous naturalist and photographer and nestles in the foothills of the Himalaya.
Named after the local Sitabani Temple, Karma Sitabani features 42 suites of various sizes, a spa, swimming pool, restaurant, fitness centre, kid’s area, and cinema.
The resort spans more than 3.4 acres of expansive lawns.
Described as ‘a very special property’ by John Spence, founder and chairman of Karma Group, Karma Sitabani offers guest easy access to glimpse tigers in the wild.
It is estimated about 10% of the world’s remaining wild tiger population live within the Corbett Tiger Reserve.
"Karma Sitabani gives our intrepid guests access to India’s oldest National Park, regarded as the heartland for protecting tigers in India, and the opportunity to catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures that are sadly now so endangered," said Spence.
The resort itself offers interactions with diverse fauna including about 300 species of birds, as well as common sightings of monkeys, foxes and deer.
The resort is about 2.5 hours away from Patnagar Airport or a six hour drive from Delhi.
