Laos is set to host ATF 2013 at the culmination of Visit Laos Year 2012.

When delegates arrive in Vientiane next January, infrastructure improvements, including air access, roads and hotels are expected to be completed.

Laos National Tourism Administration anticipates 2.67 million arrivals for 2011 – a 6% increase over 2010. The target for 2012 is 2.87 million.

Lao Airlines has taken delivery of two new Airbus A320s deployed on flights to regional gateways Singapore and Bangkok.

The airline connects Kunming, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City as well as domestic services linking Luang Prabang and Vientiane.

Eight turbo props connect Jinhong, Changmai, Hanoi, HCMC, Phnom Penh and Siem Riep.
