London airspace closed
Airspace has been closed in London due to a technical problem at air traffic control.
Flights are being grounded and delayed at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted due to the problem at the NATS control centre in Swanwick.
The airspace has been closed until at least 7pm tonight (Friday).
NATS said it was taking ‘every possible action’ to resolve the problem.
