A 26-year old man, who was arrested on suspicion of calling in a hoax bomb threat, was reportedly hoping to disrupt a flight that his ex-girlfriend was travelling on.
Police arrested the man at his Seattle home after airport officials evacuated an early morning Las Vegas-bound Southwest Airlines flight at Sea-Tac Airport.
The flight was grounded for two hours and all passengers were taken back to the terminal building for additional security checks.
Sniffer dogs and police found no suspicious devices and the plane was allowed to take off around two hours later.
No other flights in or out of the airport were affected.
After questioning passengers, investigators identified a suspect and arrested the man at his Seattle home.
Police say he faces charges of making a bomb threat and domestic violence threats to harm.
