More calls in smaller ports in Europe and the Caribbean have been scheduled by small ship luxury line SeaDream Yacht Club for 2010.

The company’s 56-couple, mega-yachts SeaDream I and II sail in the Caribbean in the winter months and in European waters in the summer.

New ports in the Caribbean include: Norman Island, BVI; Mayreau, Grenadines; Portsmouth, Dominica; Bequia, Grenadines; Soufriere and Rodney Bay, St. Lucia; Le Desirade and Marie-Galante, Guadaloupe; St. Croix, USVI; Basseterre, St. Kitts, Falmouth Harbour, Antigua and Coconut Grove, Nevis.

Many Caribbean calls include late evening departures, for example in St. Barts where passengers can enjoy the lively restaurant and nightlife scene.

SeaDream is also offering more active land options in the Caribbean such as snorkelling and diving off The Indians & Treasure Island in BVI; diving off Saba; river rafting in Dominica; a catamaran trip to Mustique and a drive-in volcano on St. Lucia.

Embarkation and debarkation ports include the gateways of San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua, Barbados and St. Maarten. Eastbound transatlantic crossings are available from San Juan and Barbados.

Typical seven-night winter 2010 Caribbean cruise-only rates start at £2,545 per person based on twin occupancy. Nine-night sailings typically cost £2,995 including port and handling charges.

In Europe, new ports are: Formentera and Motril, Spain; Sete, France; Sifnos Island, Parga, Greece; Rab, Croatia; Poltu Quatu, Porto Rotondo and Los Maddalena, Sardinia; Syracuse, Marsala and Lipari, Sicily; Valletta, Malta and La Goulette, Tunisia.

The European schedule includes more calls at Naousa village on the Greek island of Paros and the island of Sifnos.

A typical, seven-night summer 2010 European voyage costs £3,245 per person based on twin occupancy, while longer summer itineraries, typically 11 nights long cost around £4,385 per person including port and handling charges.

Embarkation ports include Malaga, Barcelona, Nice, Monte Carlo, Rome, Venice, Athens, Istanbul, Malta and Dubrovnik.

Prices are based on SeaDream’s all-inclusive offering that includes open bar, complimentary champagne, wines at lunch and dinner, all meals aboard, use of recreation and water sports toys (subject to local conditions) and onboard gratuities.

Fares are charged in US dollars. The UK pound figures shown have been converted from dollars at a rate of £1/US$1.60.

Head of UK sales and marketing Ian Buckeridge said:“Our reservations department received lots of enquiries for 2010 even before our schedules went up on our website.

“They will call not only at vibrant port cities for pre- and post-voyage visits, but also at small and exclusive seaside towns and villages where the large passenger ships cannot go.”
