Memorial Day weekend fun at Newport Dunes

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort has announced the summer launch of its largest Inflatable Aquatic Park yet, along with the Tunes at the Dunes live entertainment series.

The summer fun continues with outdoor movie screenings and a variety of family-friendly outdoor activities, all starting on Memorial Day weekend.

 

Inflatable Aquatic Park

The recently enhanced Inflatable Aquatic Park has added four new inflatables. The collection of more than 20 oversized inflatables includes a 17-foot slide, a floating trampoline, jungle gym, monkey bars, bouncers, and slides. The Inflatable Aquatic Park will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. during the holiday weekend and daily through Labor Day weekend. Admission is $15 for resort guests and $20 for park visitors. Live Music at Tunes at the Dunes

The Tunes at the Dunes series starts with a classic soul and blues performance by Family Style Band on Friday, May 24. On Saturday, May 25, rock out to the iconic sounds of ShowBiz Guys performing classic rock hits. On Sunday, May 26, there are surf reggae tunes by Cali Conscious, with an opening act by recent contestant on NBC’s The Voice, Kyle Schuesler. Daytime Adventures and VIP Amenities

Explore Newport’s Back Bay during the day with activities including single and double-kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, pedal boats, and 21-foot electric Duffy boats. Water sports summer rental hours are from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily beginning May 24. Water sports reservations can be booked by visiting Newport Dunes’ online booking system.

For a VIP experience, Newport Dunes offers private beach cabana rentals. Overnight guests can also relax in poolside cabanas at the pool complex while enjoying the heated pools and spas.

 

Movies on the Beach

Experience outdoor cinema with Movies on the Beach at Newport Dunes. Grab blankets and chairs to watch under the stars. There is a showing of Luca (2021) rated PG on Friday, May 24, and Captain Marvel (2019) rated PG-13 on Saturday, May 25. Enjoy complimentary screenings of family-friendly films every Friday and Saturday night at dusk throughout the summer. Admission is free.

 

Moe B’s Munchies

Newport Dunes’ walk-up bar and grill, Moe B’s Munchies, will also be open Memorial Day weekend, serving a menu of American favorites including hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, and salads along with snacks, beer, wine and cocktails. Sip cold beverages at the beach bar, dine on the beachfront patio, or take food to-go for a picnic on the beach. Moe B’s Munchies will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.

 

Luxury RV, Tent and Cottage Glamping Retreats

Experience waterfront RV and tent camping sites and cozy beach cottages for the ultimate summer glamping getaway. Summer accommodations fill up fast, and it is recommended to make reservations in advance. For those who do not own an RV, Newport Dunes can recommend local RV rental companies for a memorable stay.
