Miami unveils massive World Cup 2026 fan celebration program

Miami is preparing to welcome the world during the FIFA World Cup 2026 with an extensive program of official events and community activities across South Florida.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee has unveiled a calendar of sanctioned celebrations designed to transform the region into one of the tournament’s most vibrant destinations. The program combines football, music, art, culture, and community engagement, reflecting Miami’s multicultural identity and passion for the game.

As one of the 16 host cities for FIFA World Cup 2026, Miami will stage seven tournament matches while serving as a major hub for fan experiences, entertainment, and cultural programming throughout the summer.

Miami is not simply hosting matches. We are creating a regional celebration that reflects the energy, diversity and passion of our community,” said Rodney Barreto, Co-Chair of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee. “From Downtown Miami to Miami Beach, from neighborhood parks to large-scale fan experiences, these events are designed to welcome the world while ensuring our residents can experience the magic of the FIFA World Cup right here at home.”

FIFA Fan Festival at Bayfront Park

The centerpiece of Miami’s World Cup celebrations will be the FIFA Fan Festival Miami, running from June 13 to July 5 at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami.

The free 23-day event is expected to attract up to 30,000 visitors daily and will feature live broadcasts of World Cup matches on giant screens, concerts, cultural performances, sponsor activations, local food and beverage offerings, family entertainment, and interactive fan experiences along Biscayne Bay.

No registration will be required, allowing residents and visitors to freely enjoy one of the tournament’s largest public viewing experiences.

Beachfront Kick-Off Celebration

Miami Beach will host one of South Florida’s signature World Cup events on June 11 with the One Game One Passion Kick-off Watch Party and Concert.

Staged on the sands of Miami Beach at 10th Street and Ocean Drive, the free public event will begin with a live broadcast of the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony and opening match before transitioning into a concert featuring Latin music star Carlos Vives and internationally renowned DJ Cassidy.

Organizers say the event is intended to showcase the diversity and energy that have made Miami one of the 16 official host cities for the tournament.

Community Watch Parties Across South Florida

To ensure that fans throughout the region can participate in the World Cup atmosphere, the Host Committee will sponsor a series of free community watch parties at seven locations across South Florida.

Venues include Little Haiti Park, Miami Beach Bandshell, Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah, Tropical Park, Palmetto Golf Course, NoMi Village in North Miami, and Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.

The screenings will feature key matches throughout the tournament, including quarterfinals, the Bronze Final, and the FIFA World Cup Final. Several venues will also host selected group-stage matches involving countries such as the United States, Brazil, Canada, Portugal, Haiti, Morocco, Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Paraguay, and Colombia.

Copa del Sol Football Festival

Before the tournament begins, Miami Beach will host Copa del Sol from June 5-7, a community-focused football festival taking place on the beach between 9th and 10th Streets.

Organized in partnership with Street Football USA and registration platform Plei, the event will include youth, women’s, corporate, and open competitions, as well as influencer matches, cultural programming, and a Parade of Teams.

Supporters of the event include Telemundo 51, Hard Rock, the University of Miami, Coca-Cola, and Florida Power & Light.

The festival is designed to highlight football’s ability to unite communities while serving as an early kickoff to Miami’s World Cup summer celebrations.

Art and Cultural Activations

Art will play a prominent role in Miami’s World Cup program through REEFLINE’s “Big Goals” installation, running from June 14-28 between 11th and 12th Streets on Miami Beach.

Curated by creative director Ximena Caminos, the immersive public art experience will explore football as a global cultural language through contemporary art, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement along the Ocean Drive beachfront corridor.

Uber will also participate as a commercial partner, providing hospitality activations and beachside experiences to enhance the fan environment.

A Global Stage for Miami

According to Alina T. Hudak, President and CEO of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee, the objective is to ensure every community feels connected to the tournament.

As the world arrives in Miami, we want every neighborhood, every family, and every visitor to feel part of this historic moment,” Hudak said. “These events reflect the soul of South Florida — football, music, food, art, and culture all coming together through one shared passion.
