MSC Cruises switches ships in eastern Med
MSC Cruises is deploying extra capacity in the eastern Mediterranean next year due to demand.
MSC Poesia, which sleeps 2,550 passengers, and MSC Magnifica, which sleeps 2,518, will homeport in Venice between May and November, calling at Bari or Brindisi (Italy), Katakolon (Greece), Izmir and Istanbul (Turkey) and Dubrovnik (Croatia).
They will replace the larger MSC Preziosa (3,502 passengers) which currently sails these routes alone, but will switch to a western Mediterranean itinerary from Genoa.
The extra capacity means MSC Cruises will be able to carry more than 1,500 additional guests to eastern Med.
