Cruise line executive Ken Muskat is joining Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines’ China venture SeaSky as CEO.
Muskat was MSC’s executive vice president of sales, public relations and guest services until the end of 2016 and takes the helm of SkySea later this month.
Muskat is a previous chairman of CLIA’s trade relations committee.
SeaSky is a joint venture between Royal Caribbean and Chinese travel giant Ctrip.com.
"I look forward to bringing to bear everything I’ve learned in my career and helping SkySea become a standout performer. There is an important role for a Chinese-centered brand like this in this large and growing market," said Muskat.
Min Fan, vice chairman of Ctrip.com and executive chairman of SkySea said in a statement: "Ken Muskat is known for his ability to generate consumer excitement and revenue generation, which are key elements in building a new cruise line and setting the stage for long-term growth."
