New boss for A&K in UK

Richard Hadfield, formerly with Thomas Cook, Opodo and lastminute.com, has joined luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent as managing director.

Hadfield replaces Stuart Douglas-Lee who left last month to join Saga.

He will be responible for will the company’s UK operation comprising the tour operation, A&K Villas and bespoke travel agency division A&K Private Travel.

Hadfield said: “My focus is to ensure that A&K continues to build on its innovative heritage by expanding the product into new markets whilst also anticipating current customers’ wants and wishes. The ultimate goal for A&K in 2006 is to deliver an exceptional luxury travel experience”.
