New Caribbean booking engine

Monday, 11 Mar, 2004 0

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has a new booking engine with a special focus on travel agents, according to the CTO. The booking engine is powered by the UK-based Escape2Travel Ltd., a hotel and apartment accommodation booking system for travel agents. “Travel agents and small-size hotels in the Caribbean are set to realize tremendous benefits with the introduction of this on-one booking engine,” said Arley Sobers, director of research and information management for the CTO. He and other CTO officials said agent commissions were 10% of gross selling price. But agents who belong to one of the CTO chapters will get 14% commissions. The booking engine is Doitcaribbean.com.
