Steve Heapy has been promoted to chief executive at Jet2.com and in-house tour operator Jet2holidays.
As a result, company founder Philip Meeson has taken on the role of executive chairman.
Heapy joined the company in 2009 and has held positions as managing director and chief commercial officer.
Prior to joining Jet2.com, part of Leeds-based Dart Group, he held senior and director roles at MyTravel, Thomas Cook and Libra Holidays.
