New commercial director for alpharooms.com
Andy Tilby-Baxter has joined online accommodation specialist alpharooms.com as commercial director.
His 20-year travel industry career includes roles at Airtours, MyTravel, Thomas Cook, Med Hotels and lastminute.com.
He will be responsible for overseas product and contracting, liaising with airlines, hotel partners and third party wholesalers.
Tilby-Baxter joins the company at board level and will work with founder Jason Fry and marketing director Jamie Shuker to further grow the business.
He said: “We have huge opportunities for growth in the dynamic packaging sector and are well positioned to take further market share.
“The recent XL situation has sorted the men from the boys and the fact we have an ATOL bond will provide customers with the reassurance they’re going to be looking for in these tougher economic times.â€
