Saturday, 13 Jul, 2006 0

The Boston Convention & Exhibition Center linked up with the 793-room Westin Boston Waterfront, which recently opened.

The center has 516,000 square feet of exhibit space plus a 40,000 square foot ballroom.

Convention officials say the center’s advantages include its location to major transportation systems and its built-in information technology.

Convention officials term it the “most user-friendly facility in the world” with flexibility in every area.

For spillover space, the MassMutual Center 90 miles from Boston has proved to be popular since it opened last year. The $71 million facility has 40,000 square feet of exhibit space. The next-door Springfield Civic Center also recently underwent a makeover.
