New MSC ship completes sea trials
Upcoming new ship MSC Seascape has successfully completed first intensive systems tests at sea during a multi-day trial.
This will be the fourth ship in the Seaside class and second Seaside EVO ship built by Fincantieri in Italy.
The 169,400 GT ship will be delivered to MSC Cruises in late November and enter service in December 2022
It will sail year-round from Miami to the Caribbean.
Following MSC World Europa, MSC Seascape will become the second new MSC Cruises ship to launch this year.
The naming ceremony for MSC Seascape will take place in New York City on 7 December 2022 at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.
The new ship will offer two different seven-night itineraries, firstly to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Nassau in The Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
It also offers an itinerary to Ocean Cay, Cozumel, George Town in the Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios in Jamaica.
It houses 11 dining venues, 19 bars and lounges and 12 different categories of cabins and suites.
