Norwegian Cruise Line hiking gratuities again
Norwegian Cruise Line is raising gratuities almost a year after they were last hiked.
Effective April 1, 2018, NCL will raise it from $13.99 per day to $14.50 per person for all stateroom categories on most ships except for suites and The Haven which go up to $17.50.
On the all-inclusive Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun, tips rise from $18.99 to $19.99 to $22.99 for suite guests.
Bookings made up to and including March 31 can lock in the current rate id pre-paid before the sail date.
The cruise line called it a ‘nominal adjustment’ to its daily service charges.
"Norwegian’s discretionary daily service charge makes it easy for guests to provide gratuities to the onboard staff dedicated to deliver superior guest service throughout the cruise," the line said
Other lines including Carnival Cruise Line have already announced price hikes for gratuities this year.
