Former Shangri-La Hotels executive Lothar Wilhelm Nessmann has been named as new CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels.
Nessmann takes over from today and replaced Bernold Schroder who departed in December 2016.
Nessmann has 30 years luxury hospitality experience in Asia and Europe and held several leadership positions at Shangri-La from general manger to vice president of operations and COO.
He was also key to the launch of the Hotel Jen brand.
"The appointment of Lothar comes at a very strategic time for the group as it continues to expand its presence in major gateway cities across Asia Pacific and gears up to establish its presence in new markets," said Gwee Lian Kheng, group chief executive of Pan Pacific Hotels.
"We are looking forward to Lothar’s valuable contribution, particularly in enhancing operational excellence and driving top-line revenue across our hotels, resorts and serviced suites; as well as his ability to draw on his previous experience of operating luxury and upscale brands within the same portfolio."
Singapore based Pan Pacific operates more than 30 hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia Pacific, North America and Europe in the Pan Pacific and Park Royal brands.
The group is opening its sixth Chinese property in Beijing and the Pan Pacific Yangon will become its first hotel in Myanmar.
