Passengers hospitalized from transatlantic flight hit by lightning
Seven people were taken to hospital after an apparent lightning strike hit a transatlantic flight bound for Germany.
The flight made an emergency landing at Washington Dulles Airport after ‘significant turbulence,’ the FAA said.
The Lufthansa flight had departed from Austin, Tx.
Seven people were taken to local hospitals.
According to online posts, no seatbelt sign was activated at the time.
It caused the upending of food a ‘lot of broken glass.’
The FAA is investigating the incident.

Too many flight problems lately. What's going on. Seems like some are caused by human error. Are pilots and ground personnel being adequately trained?
