Philippine Airlines has tapped Sabre Corp’s AirVision Commercial Analytics platform to improve efficiency and boost revenues.
AirVision enables more consistent decision making across various commercial planning functions by bringing all relevant data together and can be analysed in real time.
PAL agreed the deal for AirVision with Sabre at last week’s CAPA airline conference.
Sabre was also sharing updates on its latest technologies with Asia’s airlines during the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines 60th Assembly of Presidents held in Manila, which was hosted by PAL.
"We are proud to partner with Sabre to help us identify new revenue streams and improve efficiencies. This will provide us relevant insights to help us better understand our customers’ buying behaviour," said Dina May F. Flores, vice president of revenue management at Philippine Airlines.
The commercial analytics tool enables PAL to optimise revenue per passenger rather than the tradition revenue per seat model which Sabre says is essential to achieve total revenue optimisation.
"This solution also enables the airline to maximize revenue, improve efficiency and productivity, while driving a competitive advantage. By using Commercial Analytics, the Philippines flag carrier will have the ability to look at customer segments instead of simply fare purchases," said Dasha Kuksenko, Sabre’s vice president and regional general manager – airline solutions, Asia Pacific.
